Ask Gov. Kaine to veto Death Penalty Expansion Bills

Contact Governor Tim Kaine and ask that he veto any expansion of the death penalty in Virginia. Gov. Kaine promised to carry out the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia. He was elected governor as a man who was morally opposed to capital punishment. He should not be expected to sign any legislation which enlarges the use of capital punishment in Virginia. See the list of death penalty related bills which have passed the 2007 General Assembly and were sent to the governor for consideration. Each bill has an "Action Requested" section. See the news and news archives sections of this website for articles on the death penalty expansion legislation.
